The Artistic Formation of Jose de Almada-Negreiros

To examine Almada's artistic formation before the appearance of his first major works in 1915. This would constitute the first chapter of a larger study and, while it would shed light on the genesis of the works he produced from 1915 to his first sojourn in Paris in 1919, its main thrust would be to give a clear idea of Almada's originality at this early stage.
