Comedy in Shakespeare's Tragedies

To study Shakespeare's use of comic conventions and assumptions in some of his tragedies. He events comedy to set up false expectations, thus reinforcing the movement into inevitability; to increased tragic awareness. Comedy as a mode of tragic questioning, and comedy's values as the object of question will be focused on through the reading of theory and psychology of tragedy.
