To trace the development of the Catholic novel in relation to the theological reflection on novels at the time of their appearance and in light of contemporary foundational theology. Using 6 novels to show how they structure drama through the concept of the dialectics of belief so a reader goes beyond accepted beliefs and constructs new ways of conceiving his/her own selfs and world.
