To study the stained glass remaining in several 13th century cathedrals and churches all related to the Sainte Chapelle built in Paris in the 1240s. Correlating the glass study to an important illuminated manuscript of the same period to show the parallels of the origins between the two and show a more coherent picture of the development of early Gothic painting.
