To study the life and work of Dr. Grete Bibring in the context of Vienna in the early 1900's, of England during the war years, and America after the forties. To describe her early work with Freud, as well as her relationships with other important figures. The study would trace Dr. Bibring's career as it paralleled that of the development of psychoanalytic theory and practice.
