To work on a book on Shakespeare's Sonnets. PI will develop the theory that Shakespeare's young man sonnets have as a classical model, the relation between Socrates and Alcibiades as described in the Symposium. PI will examine the tradition of the Socratic lover and how it relates to Shakespeare's Sonnets.
