To study two alternatives to the Tarskian strategy for working out the connection between the basic word - world relationships on the one hand and truth on the other. The alternatives are l) to develop non-Tarskian theory for working out the connection for 2) the basic word - world relationships must be accounted for along lines that are contrary to the spirit of physicalism.
