Politics, Society and Economy in Nuremberg, Germany, 1919-33

To examine certain aspects of the socio-economic structure and political events in Nuremberg, Germany between 1919 and 1933 to determine the reason for the abrupt shift in voting patterns in that city during the 1920s when the population turned from a decades’ long tradition of supporting the Socialist Party to endorsing the Nazi Party wholeheartedly. PI will research this question in various German archives and in the record of certain large Nuremberg business firms
