To work on a history the Lakes Plateau Region in Africa. The study will focus upon the positions of the sons of rulers in the precolonial societies of the region. This study will construct inventories of action and behavior in Luuka, Uganda and Buhunde, Zaire, two precolonial settings quite remote from one another. These societies nevertheless shared language, culture and experience in the precolonial etc.
