To examine and assess the treatment of the concept of the family in contemporary political thought. PI will review the theorists attitude toward the family and the ideal family of representative theorists in liberalism, Marxism, utopian socialism, liberationism and conservatism, and will explore the relationship of basic political positions to the concept of the family.
