Revolutionary Pamphleteering and Locke's Two Treatises

To examine aspects of Locke's Two Treatises in relation to the themes and strategies of the revolutionary pamphlets of 1688-90. The main questions to be addressed in this research concern (l) whether a continuity of purpose is discoverable in Locke and others, between the periods of Exclusion and Revolution on the questions of resistance, consent and political power and a limited prerogative, and (2) how these related to significant changes being sought in the English Constitution.
