To prepare a monograph on Quinua, a Quechua-speaking community in the central Peruvian Highlands. The work will discuss: 1. the ecological setting; 2. the agricultural and pastoral adaptation to that setting, 3. the social organization as related to the community's ecological adaptation; and 4. the implications of the material for an understanding of the evolution of Andean society.
