To work on the second volume of a close study of Renoir's film. The Rules of the Game. By an analysis of the film shot by shot PI hopes to demonstrate that a deep understanding of a single first-rate film can show the richness of cinema as an art form. PI will also trace out the process of understanding of film as it unfolds, for like music, cinema is an art of time.
