A study to (1) clarify several different views concerning religious beliefs, each of which may be called a form of subjectivism in religion; (2) develop the major arguments that support each of these views; (3) critically evaluate these arguments with a view to making some judgments about the merits of the subjectivist views of religion. PI will study the works of Kierkegaard, James, Tillich, and Wittgenstein.
