To study the Arthurian riddarasogur, i.e. the Old Norse sagas which derive directly from French Arthurian works. PI hopes to determine their significance in the context of the European Arthurian tradition and of medieval Scandinavian literature and to analyze the adaptation process as it affects not only content but also form and structure.
