Work will consist of three phases: 1) A Pronouncing Glossary of Alabama Speech: Black Belt and Wiregrass: 2) Lexical variants will be correlated with other Atlas records and independent studies; and, 3) A Commentary. The value of this Glossary will be that it will be made available for the continuum of American dialect research. Glossary will be published.
