FAIN: FT-13781-78

Thomas M. Finn
College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, VA 23186-0002)

To examine the social world of early Christianity. The social mobility of early Christians will be dealt with as a critical factor in the decline of the School of Alexandria the earliest Christian institution of higher learning. How educated Christians did manage to enter Greco-Roman social institutions will be studied as a facet of the growth of a successful new religion.
