To study the ethical concepts of the fifth century B.C. Greece, as expressed in the sculptural decorations of the Temple of Zeus at Olympia. The relationship of these ideas to those expressed in the Parthenon sculptures, the Odes of Pindar, and the oresteia of Aeschylus.
