To complete the collection of fragments of the Greek historians began by Felix Jacoby (Fragmente der griechischen Historiker), Berlin, 1923-Leiden, 1958) which at present contains 15 volumes and is a major research tool for students of Greek and Roman culture. Stipend will allow grantee to read and sort out the numerous handwritten drafts and notes inherited from Jacoby, to organize a general outline for Part IV, and to begin preparation of the first projected volume, a collection of the relevant fragments of Aristotle.
