To write a paper on the traditional philosophical problem of freedom, determinism and moral responsibility. It will employ conceptual tools developed recently in the branch of symbolic logic known as possible-world semantics to defend the "compatibilist" approach to the question of whether freedom and moral responsibility can exist if one accepts determinism.
