Pierre Phalese, Music Printer (1546-1573): A Historical Study and Catalogue

To produce a historical study and catalog of the printed music of the important Netherlandish music printer, Pierre Phalese, who worked at Louvain from 1546 to about 1573. A documentary of Phalese's life, printing activities and his role in the dissemination of music in the Netherlands, and a list of the 250-300 surviving music books printed by Phalese will result from the study.
