Published in 1509 as the work of Octovien de Saint-Gelais and Blaise d’Auriol, La Chasse et le depart d'Amours, contains some 538 poems by various French authors of the 15th century. These poems are presented anonymously within the context of two longer poems on the "hunt" and "departure" of love. This project will examine these texts and their relationship to the literary and musical production of the time, to provide a critical edition of them with variant readings and notes, and to catalogue them, identifying wherever possible poets and composers, concordant sources and related works.
