FAIN: FT-14019-78

The proposed volume carries forward and brings to its completion the work begun by PI in his 1977 Ph.D. dissertation, A History of the Mishnaic Law of Agriculture: Demai. Part One: Commentary. The study as a whole will contribute to our understanding of the world-view of early rabbinic Judaism, as it is expressed in Mishnah and Tosefta, the earliest extant literary sources on rabbinism. Mishnah is a collection of detailed rulings on various matters pertaining to the whole range of everyday life. The study requires translation as well as commentary.
