To edit an edition of the selected letters of Robert Bridges Poet Laureate of England, 1913-1930. Most of these letters are unpublished, and date from 1865 to 1930. The edition, with introduction, notes and index, will provide previously unavailable information about Bridges' life, literary and aesthetic tastes, poetic theories, his opinions about his own poetry, and his response to and participation in the intellectual, social , and political matrix of the late Victorian period and the early 20th century.
