To study book ten of Varro's LL, a study designed to culminate ultimately in a book entitled Varro’s De Lingua Latina, Liber X: Text, Translation, and Commentary which will complement P.I's previously published Declinatio: A Study of the Linguistic Theory of Marcus Terentius Varro. There is a great need for this up-dated English translation because there is presently only one available and it is ill-suited to a non-Latinist, and those in other languages are mostly paraphrases.
