I am undertaking a translation, from Yiddish to English, of Abraham Joshua Heschel's last major work, KOTSK: IN GERANGL FAR EMESDIKAYT. This work (two volumes in the original) is a study and analysis of the thought of Reb Menachem Mendl Morgenstern, one of the leading but least-known figures of 19th-century East European Jewish religous thought. The book, including my notes and introduction, will be published by the Paulist Press.
