Saints of Hólar

I intend to write and publish an analysis of the cult of saints in the diocese of Hólar, northern Iceland, using the database I have constructed for this purpose (on-line at www.tasc.mpg.de/iceland). In the article I will examine and consider the influence of and interaction among different types of evidence for the cult of saints, and the kind of information the evidence can supply in the fields of religion, history, art, literature and the humanities in general. The chronological limits of the study are 1000-1600.
