This project aims to conduct research in private and public libraries in India to study the texts written by members of an early modern Islamic rationalist school. The research will generate a book chapter on the place of logic and theology in the curriculum of this school and on the contributions of the members of this school to the rationalist sciences. The larger book project, of which this chapter is a part, aims to determine the contours and trajectory of Graeco-Arabic rationalism in Islam in its post-classical phase.
