Retention of five staff members and employment of two consultants to complete audio-video components of the permanent exhibition and enhance the museum's website to allow for improved digital engagement.

The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center is seeking funds for four areas: to reinstate furloughed staff, enable planned AV components to be part of our exhibit expansion, create a new website to better deliver digital programming, and address COVID-19 safety concerns. We need our employees back at work to create and distribute content and programming for fans of “The King of the Blues” as well as our under-served community in the Delta. Due to a lack of income, we were forced to cut expenses in our exhibit expansion that will cover the last decade of B.B. King’s life. That amounted to eliminating the planned AV components that are viewed as essential to the content. A new website will give us much more flexibility to add sections for virtual programming and other ways of disseminating material.
