The Americans Historical Association (AHA) in collaboraation with the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAACHC) proposes to organize and hold International conference of leading scholars during the spring of 2016 to mark the opening of the NMAAHC. Our goal is to generate a conversation that at once describes a complex landscape that has evolved over the past decades and maps new directions.
