Columbia Currents: Confluence Project Interactive Website

FAIN: GE-50726-13

Confluence Project (Vancouver, WA 98661-3802)
Jane Jacobsen (Project Director: August 2012 to June 2014)

Planning of a website that examines Native American history and culture at six sites along the Columbia River in Washington and Oregon.

A planning grant from NEH will help fund the development of a plan and pilot project for the Columbia Currents: Confluence Project Interactive Website. The website will feature oral interviews in audio and video formats, accompanied by historic photos, drawings, and maps, which will be presented in a compelling exploratory experience that complements and interconnects six Confluence Project cultural and art sites along the Columbia River (Cape Disappointment, Sandy River Delta, Sacajawea State Park, Vancouver Land Bridge, Chief Timothy Park, and Celilo Park). The planning grant will enable Confluence to identify the interpretive web content for each of the sites, further develop existing partnerships, and create a legacy plan for preserving materials collected for the website.
