LBJ in El Paso will be held at the Chamizal National Memorial in the anniversary year of President Johnson's signing of the Chamizal Treaty, settling a 100 year boundary dispute with Mexico. The conference will include discussions on -The international boundary dispute between Mexico and the U. S. and the treaty that brought the issue to closure -Lady Byrd Johnson -LBJ's maternal grandfather, George Baines, First Baptist Church El Paso Founder -LBJ's Communication Style -Civil Rights and Dr. Lawrence Nixon In addition to the conference, there will be an exhibition of historic photographs from the El Paso Times archive as well as a timeline of significant LBJ history in El Paso.
