The Textile and dress of the Peoples of West Africa

To prepare an exhibition indentifying and demonstrting West African clothing. the exhibition will present a variety of textitles, costumes and methods of adornment as well as textile manufacturing processes, and a display of hair and body beautification techniques. The relationship between clothing and life-styles, inter-relationship between clothing and religion, government, natural resources and family organization-kinship ties will be explained through use of didactic materials including a sound track, pamphlet and other explanatory material.
