In response to the need expressed by Indian people to involve more Indian people in museum teaching and learning programs, the Children's Museum is conducting an internship program for three New England Indian People. We would share with interns our expertise in developing educational exhibits, programs and materials. Particular emphasis will be given to those aspects of development that make our Museum unique: direct audience participation in exhibits, a "learn by doing" philosophy that encourages interaction between audience, staff and learning materials, and a flexibility of design that allows for a "try-out" period before any project is finalized.
