To develop a permanent exhibition on 20th century cultural history as part of its Cowell Hall of California History. The 20th Century Cultural History Exhibition, to be organized chronologically, decade by decade, will interpret the social, political and economic forces which have conditioned California through the use of objects and supporting material of individuals, single and collective, named and annonymous, who typify the diversity of California experirence.
