To create a photographic collection depicting Illinois workers on their jobs and in the industrial environment. Historical and contemporary material is to be combined to illustrate changes in the nature of work and the workplace. Also depicted will be relationship of workers to industrial processes. A traveling exhibition of 100 photographs are to tour the state during the Bicentennial. Exhibition centers will be in such public places as shopping malls. A catalogue is to accompany the exhibit.
