To provide an orientation to the Savannah Historic District for the period beginning with the completion of the Scarbrough House(1819) and ending as the Civil War by a graphic montage explaining the stages of growth of Savannah; by one gallery displaying decorative and utilitarian objects made in Savannah, and; for contrast, a separate gallery showing objects imported into Savannah.
