Interpretive Programs Related to The River Exhibition

To develop interpretive programs and presentation of exhibition materials dealing with the Mississippi River as a physical, social and aesthetic entity through extensive graphic and audio-visual presentations which will treat the interaction between the River and societies living around it, a River Interpretation Center sited on Nicollet Island, a multi-image slide presentation documenting a journey on the upper Mississippi, a 350-ft. Mississippi River 19th Century painted panorama, a brochure for the exhibition, and six public lectures on the River's history and future.
