Walking Through History: the Seaports of Southport and Black Rock

To support an hour-long walking tour of Black Rock and Southport, the two original Fairfield seaport villages; a two day visit to Black Rock of the sloop "Providence" and publication of a forty-eight page guide booklet to the villages. Project will increase awareness of the historical fabric of Black Rock and Southport, foster an appreciation of the human change and choices which structures and building patterns represent and improve the reputation and increase the visibility of the Fairfield Historical Society.
