To provide the public a glimpse of the ecological and human histories of backwoods area of New York's Adirondack Park. Objectives of the exhibition are to suggest that wilderness conservation in America has become an aspect of historic preservation and to introduce visitors to issues of the past which have a bearing on present and future cultural options in the nation.
