To develop a historically oriented exhibit dealing with the Birmingham metropolitan area which focuses on architecture and artifacts as statements of cultural and socioeconomic conditions, and to interpret this exhibit to a broad segment of the public by means of captions, lecture- discussions and an illustrated brochure in such a way that it increases public awareness of the history of the community and stimulates discussion of significant policy questions.
