Planning for the Chinese in America: A Pictorial History

To execute an 18-month nationwide planning project to develop a photographic exhibition and catalog text which will interpret, illustrate and document the life and culture of Chinese-Americans from the early years of immigration to the present, and their contributions to the development of this country and contemporary society. Exhibition will examine the cultural factors, including religion and philosophy, as well as the patterns of family life, which served as vital and enduring sources of identity and strength to Chinese in America. Audience will include the general public, Chinese-Americans, and elementary, secondary, and college students.
