The Rayburn "Home Place": A Living Historical Farm

FAIN: GM-11409-78

Kent State University (Kent, OH 44242-0001)
John R. Jameson (Project Director: January 1978 to present)

To plan for the Sam Rayburn House Museum's conversion into a 1930s, pre-electric living historical farm. The house and six out-buildings will be reconverted to a mule-powered farm with authentic equipment, livestock and crops. This working period farm will be a testament to "Mr. Sam's" life-long interest in both agriculture and urbanization.
