To support a traveling exhibition on Japanese prehistory to the period of stable statehood. Story line traces adaptation and culture growth from Paleolithic through Jomon and Yayoi times to the Kofun period of statehood. Display mode adds graphics, texts, and study guides to reconstruct social aesthetic, and ritual aspects of each phase. Objects in exhibition will be original items on loan from Japan.
