To provide information on the history and current status of local Indian groups including the Lumbees through weekly seminars. Following topics will be covered: American Indian archaeology and ethno history; culture through films and slides (W.C. emphasized); history of the Lumbee; demonstrations of native crafts; participants try flint- knapping, pottery-making and basketry. Audience will be 5th and 8th grade teachers and other area adults.
