The Furniture of Eastern Virginia: Products of the Mind and Hand

The exhibit will trace the history of cabinet making technology in 18th century America with Virginia furniture as a case study. Design books of the period will be shown with the works they inspired and technology used in their creation. The project will design the exhibit and install photo murals, furniture and maps, design sources, tools and models for the period 1650-1790.
