To create an exhibit focusing on architects - professionals, gentlemen, carpenters - who worked in Alexandria, Virginia, in the years 1750 to 1900 and on the process of designing. Documents, photographs, prints, letters and artifacts will be displayed in such a way as to appeal to students of architecture and of the social life and culture of 18th & 19th century America.
