To produce one half-hour film adapted to a general television audience. The subject of the film will be to trace the rhetorical push and pull of opinion in Britain and America, among farmers and townsmen, men in Parliament and the Continental Congress, loyalists and patriots, Whigs and Tories, soldiers and generals, during the American Revolution. Letters, diaries, memoirs and official documents will provide the base of the rhetorical fabric.
