Classic Theatre--The Humanities in Drama

To produce two coordinated weekly series, Classic Theater Preview and Classic Theatre, centered around thirteen major BBC dramatic productions. The programs will present a leading scholar of the genre, supported by illustrative excerpts from the BBC production and by documentary visual materials. The Classic Theatre series will be presented chronologically by period and will include Macbeth. Candide. She Stoops to Conquer. Hedda Gabler and The Three Sisters.
