To research and write two pilot scripts and six subject papers for a series of 12 one-hour dramatic biographies about 19th century women on the Western wilderness frontier. Based on primary source material, each program will be a dramatic reconstruction of the life of a historic wilderness woman followed by a presentation discussing the historical and philosophical implication of that life. The program is aimed at a broad national audience, its historical content will make it a valuable contribution to the educational audiovisual market.
